Project Ash is 2D rouglike with base-building.

You are restoring a ruined city. You decide hpw to spend your time — go into the dungeon for resources, or manage the restoration of buildings. 


How it works

The city is in ruins. Buildings are hidden until you analyze them — you won't know what you're restoring until you look. Some buildings strengthen your character. Othres are simply worth rebuilding.

Start restoration, then head into the dungeon. By the time you return, the work may be done.

If you die in the dungeon, you lose the resources from run — but city progress is permanent.

Gameplay overview

Gather resources in dungeon to restore the city. To enter the dungeon, approach the portal near the city center. To exit, find similar portal within the dungeon. You must clear all enemies in a room to adcance to the next.

City restoration has two stages: analysis and reconstruction. Each takes time, so start the process before heading into the dungeon. Each stage requires specific resources, which drop from enemies at varying rates.

There are two types of buildings, both marked on the city map. Functional buildings let you upgrade your character — upgrades require resources, but there are no strict requirements on type of quantity. Decorative buildings let you skip to the next day.

About this build

This is very early prototype and, in fact, first project I've ever released. So, expect rough edges, missing content, and placeholder visuals. The core loop is functional — everything else is work in progress.
